About Experiences
Experiences are live, interactive classes held over Zoom. They are designed for individuals, couples, or small groups and are led by instructors who guide you throughout the Experience.
After placing your order, you will receive several emails to help you prepare:
Order confirmation: Sent immediately after purchase with your order details
Class details: Includes your Zoom link and preparation instructions
Reminders: Sent 48 hours before your class and again 4 hours before
Post-class follow-up: A thank you message after your Experience
Gifting Experiences
How can I purchase an Experience as a gift?
Select an Experience and choose Add Gift Options in your cart. You can enter the recipient’s name, email address, and when you would like the first email sent.
If you prefer to keep it a surprise, leave this section blank. All confirmation emails will be sent to you, and you can share the class details with the recipient.
You can also download and print a note to let the recipient know an Experience is coming.
What if I don’t know when the recipient is available?
If you have a potential date in mind, you may purchase that session. If it does not work for the recipient, they can reschedule using the link in their confirmation email or through order management.
If you are unsure of timing, you may prefer to send an Uncommon Goods gift card and include a note indicating the intended Experience.
Joining an Experience
Can I invite others to join my Experience?
Each Experience is designed for 1–2 people per screen to ensure the best experience.
If you’d like to include a larger group, private Experiences may be available.
Do you offer private Experiences?
Yes. Many of our Experiences can be arranged as private sessions depending on instructor availability.
Please contact our Experiences Team with your preferred class, and we'll help determine availability. Private Experiences are ideal for groups, families, and corporate events.
Will I need to buy supplies for my Experience?
Supply requirements vary by class.
Some Experiences include all necessary materials, while others require you to purchase supplies in advance. You can check the class page for full details.
For example, some mixology classes may require fresh ingredients purchased locally.
Troubleshooting & Support
What should I do if I have trouble joining my class?
If your class is starting and you are having trouble accessing Zoom, try exiting and rejoining the session using your class link.
If you are still unable to join, please contact Customer Service for assistance.
Why am I seeing an error message when joining my class?
If your class is starting within 10 minutes and you see an error screen, try exiting and rejoining the session. You should be placed into a waiting room.
If the issue continues, please contact Customer Service↗ for immediate help.
Shipping & Experience Materials
Why was I charged shipping for an Experience?
If your Experience does not include a physical item, you will not be charged shipping.
If you were charged shipping, it may be because your Experience includes a shipped item or you purchased additional items that require shipping.
What should I do if my Experience item will not arrive in time?
If your item is delayed, please contact the Experiences Team as soon as possible. We'll do our best to help you enjoy your class.
What should I do if my Experience item arrives damaged?
Please report the issue through our Track and Manage Orders↗ support portal or contact Customer Service as soon as possible. For time-sensitive issues, calling Customer Service is recommended.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
How can I cancel or reschedule my Experience?
If your class is more than 48 hours away, you can reschedule using your order number and billing zip code or by using the reschedule link in your confirmation email.
If no alternative dates are available, or if you prefer not to reschedule, we can provide a recording of the Experience. Recordings may be from a different session and are selected to provide the highest-quality viewing experience. Contact the Experiences Team if you'd like to request a recording.
If your class is within 48 hours, has already started, or was missed, rescheduling is not available. However, you can request a recording by contacting the Experiences Team. Recordings may be from a different session and are selected to provide the highest-quality viewing experience.
Experience recordings are intended for personal use only and should not be shared or posted publicly.
