Most of our items are in-stock and ready to ship. Some of our items are on backorder, sold out, or discontinued and sold out. We'll explain these statuses below.
Backorder
Occasionally, items are on backorder, which means that they’ll ship at a later date. If you select an item that’s on backorder a message with the expected ship date will appear under the add to cart button when you select the item from the drop-down menu. We'll also remind you of this ship date throughout checkout and in your order confirmation email.
If you'd like to purchase an item that is on backorder, you will be charged at the time of purchase. Once we get the item back in stock we'll ship it to you. The estimated delivery date for items on backorder is based on the expected ship date plus the shipping method timeframe you select at checkout.
Out of stock
If an item is out of stock, we'll message this in the drop-down menu.
We'd be happy to notify you via email once the item you're interested in is back in stock. Just select the out-of-stock item you'd like to buy and a box will appear for you to enter your email address.
Note: once we let you know that the item is back in stock (typically within 2-4 weeks), you may find that it's gone back out of stock by the time you have a chance to order it. This happens for a couple of reasons: (1) we only received a very small quantity and other customers placed their orders sooner, or (2) the customers who ordered this item today each purchased multiple quantities, bringing our inventory back to 0. If either of these scenarios happens to you, you can sign up again to be notified once the item is back in stock.
Item is out of stock and discontinued
Since links live forever on the internet, you may come across an old link to an item that we no longer carry. When this happens, the item page will look like this:
The words sold out indicate that this item has been discontinued from our assortment, and we won't be getting it back. You can try using your favorite search engine to find this item at another retailer. Sometimes, such as with the Ceramic Beachside Soap Dish above, you'll have the artist's name to help you with your search.
