How to place an order
- Scroll the footer of any page to make changes to the Shipping to country.
- Click on the "change" link next to the Shipping to country flag and choose the country you are shipping to. Please note: If you don't see your country listed, we are not able to ship to that destination at this time.
- The local currency will be selected by default. Please note: You may ship to a specific country but pay with a different country's currency.
- All prices will automatically be converted into the local currency.
- Shop Uncommon Goods as you normally would. Please note: Some items, such as food or oversized items, may not be available to ship outside of the U.S.
- At checkout, your shipping method options with delivery timeframes will be displayed as well as any applicable duties and taxes. Duties and taxes may be combined if purchased during checkout.
- Once your transaction is complete, you will receive an order confirmation email. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking details.
How to view the status of an order
If your order was placed on or before November 10, 2021 it will be processed and shipped by BorderFree. To view the status of these orders:
- Go to the Borderfree website.
- Enter your order number and email address.
If your order was placed after November 10, 2021 it will be processed by Flow and shipped by Uncommon Goods. To view the status of these orders:
- Go to Track & Manage Orders.
- Enter your order number and billing zip code.

Can my item be gift boxed with an international order?
Adding gift options such as gift boxing an item or including a free personal message on the invoice are not available for orders shipping outside of the U.S. Customers with international billing addresses may add gift options during checkout for orders shipping to the U.S.
Can I purchase or redeem gift certificates during international checkout?
Gift certificates are not available for purchase or redemption for orders shipping outside of the U.S. Customers with international billing addresses may purchase and redeem a gift certificate for orders shipping to the U.S.
Can I purchase Uncommon Perks or redeem an Uncommon Credit during international checkout?
Uncommon Perks, Perks free shipping, and Uncommon Credits are not available for orders shipping outside of the U.S. Customers with international billing addresses may purchase Uncommon Perks, utilize free Perks shipping, and redeem Uncommon Credits for orders shipping to the U.S.
How much duty and taxes are charged on international orders?
Duty (or customs tariffs) is set by the destination country customs authorities and is determined based on a combination of the country of origin or manufacturing of the goods being purchased, and the classification of that merchandise. Tax rates, such as Value Added Tax (VAT), are set by the destination country. You will be able to view the total amount of applicable duty and tax/VAT for your order within the international checkout. Duties and taxes may be combined at the time of purchase.
How will I know how much my order will cost?
Just add items to your basket and click on the cart icon at the top right corner. Your order total, including all shipping costs and any applicable duties and taxes will be listed in the currency selected.
Which payment options can I use for an international order?
Currently, Flow supports traditional methods of payment like Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal as well as alternative payment methods such as BitPay, Alipay, Google Pay and WeChat Pay, depending on the country.
When am I billed?
For purchases shipping outside of the U.S. with Borderfree, your credit card will be billed by at the time your parcel(s) leave the U.S.
For purchases shipping outside of the U.S. with Flow, your credit card will be billed once you've completed you checkout. Please allow for typical credit card authorization and approval time.
How will the charge appear on my credit card statement?
For purchases processed by and shipping through Borderfree, your credit card will be billed by Borderfree and your credit card statement will read 'BF*UncommonGoods'.
For purchases processed by Flow, your credit card will be billed by Flow and your credit card statement will read ‘Flow*UncommonGoods’.
I live in the U.S. Can I ship an order internationally but pay in U.S. Dollars (USD)?
Yes, you can place an order that ships outside of the U.S. Simply change your shipping to country settings at the footer of any page on our site, then select USD as your currency.
I live overseas but am shipping to the U.S. Can I use my international billing address to ship to the U.S.?
Our billing system may not be able to process your order because our domestic checkout is not designed to accommodate international addresses. Please contact Customer Service if you would like to use your international billing address for an order shipping within the United States.
Are there any additional costs that will be due upon receipt of my order?
No. When you use the international checkout, you will be provided with a guaranteed order total in your preferred currency. The order total presented will be the exact amount that you will be billed. There will never be any additional costs billed upon delivery or due as C.O.D. charges.
Foreign exchange rates are determined at checkout and are based on interbank rates of exchange. These rates correspond with the average aggregate exchange rates that would otherwise be applied in an e-commerce transaction. Uncommon Goods updates exchange rates on a daily basis. You will receive a message if exchange rates have been updated while you are shopping.
Are your electrical products compatible with all electrical outlets?
Our electrical products are UL–Listed and manufactured in compliance with U.S. standards. If you are purchasing this item for use outside of the U.S., use only with the appropriate outlet adaptor and voltage converter for your country. Do not plug into an electrical outlet higher than 110–120V as this could result in fire and/or injury.
